EVERY HOME HAS A STORY TO TELL...

Creating that which doesn’t exist

Che and Siobhan had been house hunting for quite a while. They needed a new home that would suit their family for at least ten years and had plenty of room for everyone, including a connected, private space for Siobhan’s Dad.

They wanted a two-storey home with their children’s rooms safely upstairs and a nice back yard so their kids could run around, and so they could finally get the dog they had always dreamed of. For culinary whizz Che, a well-functioning kitchen was a must, along with a good cooking space outside and a large area to entertain.

But despite searching extensively, the couple could not find an existing house that had everything they needed in a design that they were happy with.

So they started to consider design and build.

During their research, Che and Siobhan were invited to walk through a home that Maddren were in the process of constructing, and they were very impressed. The house already looked amazing, with neat little design features everywhere. They especially liked the personalisation of the children’s rooms – having children of different ages and personalities themselves, they liked the idea of being able to design each bedroom with its future occupant in mind. Then they thought of all the other features they could add if they built a home designed specifically for their family.

The Maddren site supervisor and construction team were very easy to talk to. They shared useful information with Che and Siobhan, who came away feeling that everyone working on the site had trust in each other and were passionate about delivering a good house for the client. They noticed the construction site was very clean and tidy too.

When Siobhan and Che were ready, Maddren helped secure their new section in Milldale. They were given plenty of time to consider the purchase and perform due diligence, then Maddren started to design their home. Lots of time, thoughts and detailed discussions went into turning a blank piece of paper into their ideal home, but the final design is exactly what they wanted and the whole family couldn’t be happier, including Benny the dog.
