First of all, what is the guarantee?

A couple weeks ago we were dropped off some nice, new brochures from Registered Master Builders. And on closer inspection we were pretty happy with what we saw. Not only has the 10 Year Guarantee been updated, its more readable, there's less jargon and above all, the cover for homeowners is better.

First of all, what is the guarantee? In a nutshell it's a form of cover taken out by homeowners that guarantees their home will be built to a high standard and is protected against defective work within a ten year period. And it's not that builders think their work might be defective, its peace of mind for homeowners should something unforeseen occur. Previously, the level of cover could be capped at various price thresholds regardless if your homes’ value was greater, meaning there was a potential deficit to your level of cover.  

Now, it’s a whole lot simpler and provides premium cover across the board of up a million dollars, or the value of your contract price, whichever is the lower. We’re straight-talkers and are all about keeping things clear and straight-forward for our clients. And so as a Master Builder ourselves, these updates are a breath of fresh air.
