Keeping it in the family
Mt Eden heritage subdivision
We’re always up for a challenge. Not every building company will say that, and some won’t take a project on if the site is difficult and it’s not a straight forward job. But when sisters, Nina and Anna wanted to subdivide their Mount Eden section to relocate and restore a heritage house on it, plus build a new contemporary house on the same site and work with an architectural designer for both projects and have them built by us simultaneously. Well we said, let’s do it.
We’re currently half way through, looking at completion by Christmas and we couldn’t be more thrilled with how its going. Grand Designs, eat your heart out. There’s an incredible amount of project management and liaison involved between both sisters’ families, our build team and architectural designer Richard Furze. That will ultimately deliver two bespoke and quality houses that are individual, yet seamlessly integrated. When complete, there will be a beautiful contrast of traditional on one side and contemporary on the other; joined by outdoor living spaces that allow the families to come together and socialise.
Last week, the sisters treated the Maddren team to an epic roof-shout feast in appreciation of how smooth the project has run to date and how happy they are with the whole team's effort. As a family owned business, our clients become part of our family and we work closely with them to ensure the process is enjoyable for everyone involved.
We’re chuffed with how well such a complex project is going, and are looking forward to the finished result. Watch this space!
