Home is where the hearth is

A few weeks ago we opened our newest showhome, Woodhill, to the public. Architecturally designed by Richard Furze, its class, simplicity and edge takes design detail to the next level. One of the surprise, standout features is the WD50 outdoor fireplace that combines a wood fire with BBQ plate and pizza oven in one. After custom-designing one for his own house in collaboration with The Fire Dept, Richard was so sold on how amazing it was, he firmly believes everyone needs one, and that included the Maddren showhome. And after seeing the requests and interest its had and in only a couple of weeks, we couldn’t agree more.

With it’s clean lines, industrial look and minimalist design, it really is an outdoor wood fire like no other. Beautiful design and craftsmanship, combined with functional practicality is what we stand for and what our homes must live up to, and this fire is a great example of aesthetics and function.

A good outdoor fire is consistently on the wish-list for a lot of our clients and interestingly, the three most common requests we get for outdoor features are fire, pizza oven and BBQ. So here’s all three wrapped into one. It’s a great way to truly connect your indoor with your outdoor spaces all year round; providing a central hub of warmth and food for family and friends to congregate around. And with the weather getting a tad chillier we might have to get our one cranking one Friday afternoon with a couple of beersies, or even some toasted marshmallows.
